Recorded July 16, 2020 - The outdoors is not an apolitical space. While many of us picture nature as a complete escape from our day-to-day lives, for some among us, our frontcountry context travels with us when we head out into the backcountry. In a moment where the US is openly grappling with the way white-body supremacy affects the lived experience of Black people, we at ALDHA-West invite you to join us. This conversation, facilitated by Amanda "Zuul" Jameson, will be a chance to learn more about what these two Triple Crowners are thinking and feeling in the wake of their accomplishments - and in this unique cultural moment. Produced by Zuul, Kimchi, Punisher, Fireweed & Blis.

Recorded May 21, 2020 - ALDHA-West's first webinar. Join Kimchi as she hosts a panelist discussion with three long-distance hikers who altered their long-distance hiking dreams because of COVID-19. Happy Feet was hiking his first international thru-hike on the Te Araroa in New Zeland when the pandemic struck and forced him to end his hike midway through. Connie and Fima started their PCT thru-hike just as the COVID pandemic started and had to make a difficult choice to end their quest. Salty also presented tips on how to stay ready for your summer hiking trip. Produced by Kimchi, Fireweed, Punisher, Virgo and Blis.
