2009 Gathering - Now set for September 25-27 at Camp Arrah Wanna!

Each fall the ALDHA-West holds its annual Gathering. It's an occasion for long distance hikers to meet old friends, meet new friends, see great slide shows, discuss topics of interest and just get recharged.  This year's Gathering will be at Camp Arrah Wanna in Welches, OR, just a short drive to Mt. Hood and about 30 miles from Portland, OR.

Equipment Swap

Got a few items of gear in your closet you don't use any more? How about an excess of packs, bags, tents, stoves that are just collecting dust? Or what about the raingearyou never use? That extra stove, or two, or three? Plan to bring them to the next Gathering for the annual Gear Swap. See if you can find a new home for your retired gear or a collector for your antiques. Monte is always looking for a stove!
